Department: Faculty of Sciences, Department of Biochemistry
Position: Assistant Professor
HEC Approved Supervisor: YES
Research Intersts: Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Recombinant DNA technology, and Genetic Engineering We deal with the transcriptional, translational, and metabolic studies for the treatment of diabetes, breast cancer, and liver injury. We use docking tools to find candidate drugs for the treatment of above stated diseases. We utilized prokaryotic system, cell lines, and mouse models for our research work. Along with metabolic studies, study of signaling pathway is specialty of MMGL (Mammalian Molecular Genetics Lab). For the study of these pathways, we use Western blotting. We also routinely use different software like MOE, NCBI, Ensemble, Primer quest, Mega 6.06, SnapGene, and GraphPad. a) Diabetes (drugs, phytochemicals, signaling pathway, mechanism, and in-vivo studies) b) Liver injury (drugs, phytochemicals, signaling pathway, mechanism, and in-vivo studies) c) Breast cancer (drugs, phytochemicals, signaling pathway, mechanism, and in-vivo studies) d) CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing (knockout, cKO, and transgenic) e) Mouse models of human diseases for in-vivo studies f) Docking by MOE; basic tools of bioinformatics for recombinant DNA technology, primer designing g) Production of recombinant monoclonal antibodies For more detail, please visit our website: http://lifesciencesorg.com
