Research Intersts:  Plant diseases are one of the major constraints to the horticultural crop production. The development of integrated approaches is therefore, one of the important strategies for the better control of diseases by reducing the use of hazardous chemicals. My current interests are focused on exploring the mechanism of systemic acquired resistance/ systemic induced resistance in horticultural crops particularly in citrus and vegetable crops. I am also interested in the study of seed storage behavior of horticultural crops with respect to conservation of plant genetic resources.
