Research Intersts:  Soil biochemistry and fertility by characterizing biochemical composition by analyzing soluble sugars, lignin phenols, Non-cellulosic polysaccharides with gas chromatography; Soil organic carbon and nitrogen determination along with their stable isotopes by CHN auto-analyser coupled with isotope ratio mass spectrometry; Soil microbial biomass and extracellular enzyme activities by using fluorogenically labeled substrates; Environmental impacts on plant C allocation and soil respiration in the rhizosphere by pulse labeling with radioactive C isotopes (14C); Soil organic matter mineralization by laboratory incubations
