The University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Saturday took out a rally to mark anti-corruption week. The walk started from Iqbal Auditorium was culminated at Admin Block. It was led by UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan.
The walk was jointly organized by the Senior Tutor Office and Public Relations and Publication (PRP) Department of the varsity in collaboration with National Accountability Bureau. It is aimed at raising awareness among the students about the menace of corruption in order to root it out as a step towards progress and prosperity. In this regard paintings, posters, essay writing, debating and photography competitions were also arranged in which university students gave voice to their feeling against corruption and how it affects the society. Talking to participants, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan called for creating awareness against different types of corruption which is derailing the process of development. He said that the anti-corruption week was a hallmark step that will raise the awareness among the masses about effects of menace. He said that the UAF was making all-out efforts to create the awareness among the masses. He said that corruption is the major cause of all social evils in the society which affect human development and becoming a cause of unjust society. Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed said that the university was taking the steps for the character development of the youth. He said that the this week is aimed at raising the awareness among the masses.
