Condolence reference for University of Agriculture Faisalabad professor Dr Tahir Hussain (late) was held at Iqbal Auditorium UAF to commemorate his tremendous services for the area of teaching and agricultural research.
The session was presided over by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar, while Dean Faculty of Agriculture Dr Muhammad Amjad, former deans Dr Iftikhar Ahmad, Dr Muhammad Iqbal; Institute of Soil Sciences Director Dr Javed Akhtar; Dr Ashfaq Chatha, Dr Anwar-ul-Hassan, deceased son Dr Jibran Tahir, Dr Ashraf Randhawa, Dr Muhammad Saleem, and other notables also spoke on the occasion. The Vice Chancellor said that late professor had rendered commendable service to agriculture sector and academia that will be written in the golden words. He said that he had produced 195 research papers and talented students who are working day and night for the sector. He said that he had propagated EM technology and organic fertilizer to address the issue of soil health that resulted in yield increment. He said that teachers never die as they remain in the hearts of the people forever. He said that being a human being, he was so gentle who always worried about the problems of other people and find the way to help them out. Such great people are remembered forever. Dr Muhammad Amjad said that the legend services are remarkable that helped in the progress of the sector. There is a need to follow in the footprint of such people who thought out of box and worked in the development of the county. Dr Iftikhar Ahmad said that the late professors had produced five PhDs. He said that during the whole life, his behavior with colleagues, students, seniors and others was excellent and caring.
