Description:
MSc (Hons) degree program is composed of 39 credit hours of course work and ten credit hours of thesis research (one and half years for course work and half year for research). Ph.D. degree programme has three components i.e. Course work, Comprehensive examination and Thesis Research, to be completed within three to five years. M.A. Economics is of two years degree programme, based on 50 credit hours course work.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES: There is wide scope of employment for the graduates of Agri. Econ0mics in various Public and private agencies/ organizations as well as in financial institutions of the country. Presently degree holders of this discipline are working in different institutions/ organizations of the country like Planning department, Pakistan Agri. Research Council, Prices Commission, Agri. Extension Department, Economics and Marketing, Agro.Industries, Banks, and Non Governmental organizations and in the teaching and research institutes of Pakistan. A number of Agri. Economists are employed in international organizations
