FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND RURAL SOCIOLOGY
Faculty research overview
The current enrolment in the faculty at undergraduate level is 225 students which is expected to increase to 400 in next four years period and enrolment in the faculty at postgraduate level is 642 students which is expected to double in next five years period. The Faculty has so far produced 6 Ph. Ds. and 1752 M. A. / M.Sc.
The faculty of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology until now has completed over 55 research projects funded by different agencies, published 4 books, 40 memographs, 20 technical reports and 300 research papers in journals of national and international repute. At present 10 projects are in progress in the faculty funded by different agencies with 15 other are in pipeline.
COOPERATIVE EDUCATION
The Faculty is in the process of developing a setup for cooperative education.
