RESEARCH GROUPS of the Department The department has established four research groups in order to conduct research on important topics. The research groups along with their objectives are as under;
a) Commodity Marketing (Foodgrains, Cotton, Vegetables & Fruits) Objectives: 1) To study existing marketing channels. 2) To estimate marketing margins of market intermediaries. 3) To identify problems and suggest measures for solutions.

1) To delineate the Impact of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Agreement of WTO on Agricultural Exports from Pakistan. 2) To study implications of withdrawal of subsidy to agriculture under WTO regime. c) Market Operations, Control and Management Objectives: 1) To study Wholesale market operations and management. 2) To Identify and plan new wholesale markets.
