The candidates having requisite qualification, 23 years of age on 1.9.2007 and desirous to seek admission  in the  following  degree courses for the academic session, 2007–2008 being offered by this University,  College of Agriculture, Dera Ghazi Khan as well as Sub-Campuses at Toba Tek Singh and Depalpur(Okara), are required to submit their applications on the proper forms:–

The candidates having domicile in the Punjab and  passed  the requisite examination or an  examination   recognized   as equivalent thereto from a recognized institution securing at least 45% marks i.e. 495/1100 (excluding NCC and Hafiz-e-Quran, if any) for courses at S.No. 1 to   8   and  50% marks i.e. 550/1100((excluding NCC and Hafiz-e-Quran, if any) for B.Sc. Agri. Engineering, are   eligible   to   apply   for admission   to   these   courses. If   an   applicant is Hafiz-e-Quran, 20 marks will also be added to his marks obtained in Intermediate examination to determine his admission merit as in case of candidates having NCC certificate. It is made clear that at present proper facilities of hostel accommodation are not available at D.G. Khan and Sub Campuses.

The blank admission application forms are available in the prospectus obtainable from the Habib Bank Limited, University of Agriculture Branch on cash payment from 15.8.2007 whereas prospectus for D.G. Khan and Sub Campuses be obtained from the respective Principal/Officer Incharge/Coordinator.

4)

The candidates(male/female) seeking admission on the basis of excellence in sports are also required to submit separate single form along with documentary evidence, if any, in addition to ‘open merit’ form to the Directorate of Sports for Faisalabad Campus and Principal/Officer-In-Charge/Coordinator for D.G. Khan and Sub Campuses respectively up to the last date. This form is not included in the prospectus but will be sold on demand. Their selection will be made on the basis of trials which will be held at Faisalabad on 10th and 11th September, 2007. The detailed programme of trials may be obtained from the Office of the Director Sports/Principal/ Officer-In-Charge/Coordinator.

The candidates applying against seats reserved for :-

(i)

“Disabled Persons' should  obtain prescribed  certificate complete in all respects regarding the Assessment of Disability issued by the District Assessment Board of their respective Districts.

(ii)

‘Children of Overseas Pakistanis’ should obtain Membership/Registration Card of their father/guardian issued by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Government of Pakistan.

The concerned candidate will submit the requisite certificate/card alongwith admission form and tick the relevant category of admission in the said form in addition to open merit.

The prescribed application form alongwith one attested copy each of Intermediate/Diploma Detail Marks/Certificate, domicile certificate, Computerized National Identity Card of the candidate and father/guardian and recent Passport size photograph must be  submitted either in person or by registered post, to the Offices of the Deans/Director and Principal/Officer-In-Charge/Coordinator concerned upto Tuesday the 28th August, 2007 during office hours. No application shall be accepted after due date even  if dispatched earlier by post. The selection will be made purely on merit basis and the candidates shall not be informed about their selection. They are required  to check their admission from the  lists, which will be displayed by the concerned Deans/ Director/Principal/Officer-In-Charge/Coordinator on the Notice Boards of the respective Faculty/Division/Institute/ College/Sub Campuses on Saturday the September 1st , 2007. These lists for Faisalabad Campus can also be perused on University’s website http://www.uaf.edu.pk. After provisional selection, the candidate will be required to submit educational documents(the detail of which is given on each admission form) in the Faculty/Division/Institute/College/Sub Campus where he has been selected. If a selected candidate fails to deposit University dues/submit requisite documents within the stipulated period(which is very short) as given in respective admission notification, his admission shall stand cancelled automatically without any prior notice. He shall have no claim whatsoever and admission of the next candidate on waiting list will be notified who will also confirm his admission himself from the Offices of the Deans/Director/ Principal/Officer-In-Charge/Coordinator concerned or the above website as the case may be.

 

ENTRY TEST FOR ADMISSION TO B.SC. AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING:

The entry test for all admission categories/quota(s) in B.Sc. Agricultural   Engineering will be held according to the following programme. The break up of test will be 30% marks each for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and 10% for English. The weightage  will be 70% for Intermediate/three years diploma marks and 30% for entry test whereas the passing marks for entry test are 50%:-

The candidates desirous to seek admission in the said degree programme are required to submit admission form on ‘open merit’ as well as entry test form(available in the   prospectus)   in   the  concerned Dean’s office. A bank challan showing payment of Rs.500.00 as test fee(non refundable) in Account No. 7324-7 in the National Bank of Pakistan(University Branch) or through DD/Pay order in favour of the Treasurer, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad prepared by any scheduled Bank drawn and payable at NBP/HBL, University Branch, should be attached with the entry test form. After submission of said form, the entry pass/Roll No. slip will be issued to the candidate. It would, therefore, be better to submit applications for this course in person instead of its dispatch through post.

             

ADMISSION TO 'EVENING COLLEGE' PROGRAMME:

Some seats in all the first degree courses except B.Sc. (Hons.) Agricultural & Resource Economics, B.Sc.(Hons.) Poultry Husbandry and B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture (Depalpur) are also available under the above programme at Faisalabad, and D.G. Khan Campus. The salient terms and conditions and procedure to apply for Evening College are as under:–

a)

The programme is open to all the male/female citizens of Pakistan irrespective of their domicile. Separate seats for male and female candidates have been earmarked and their merit will be determined inter se on the basis of Intermediate/Entry Test marks. The candidates are required to obtain prescribed form, for each course which will be sold on demand in addition to the cost of prospectus.

b)

The Punjab domiciled candidates applying under this category should also apply for admission against ‘open merit’ seats on the prescribed form. The candidates of other provinces/areas can apply under this category only or on their nomination by the concerned nominating Department of the respective Province/ areas against the reserved seats.

c)

The   entry   fee   for  all   the relevant degree programmes is Rs.1,00,000/-(Rupees one lac only) in addition to normal semester dues.

d)

The candidates will have to pay amount of entry fee through the bank draft/pay order in favour of  the Treasurer of this University prepared by any scheduled Bank and payable at NBP/HBL University Branch. The draft/pay order be submitted either to the Office of the Treasurer (Accounts Section) at Faisalabad or Principal of the D.G. Khan Campus against proper receipts, before submission of admission application form  in the respective Faculty/ Division/Institute/College. They should attach original receipt of entry fee with the prescribed form.

e)

The minimum eligibility requirements and mode of admission will remain   the   same   as   for   the   candidates   seeking admission on open merit. They will enjoy all the auxiliary University facilities just like other students.

f)

The detailed terms and conditions for admission under this category may be perused in the prospectus.

g)

The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the Notice Boards of the concerned Faculties/Division/Institute/College as well on the said website, after finalization of admission on open merit(day classes).

 

SCHOLARSHIP/FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:

The scholarship/financial assistance for needy/poor students are available under the ‘UAF
Need Based Scholarship, ‘
Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal’ and other Government/Semi-Government sponsoring agencies.

All the Regulations relating to admission, discipline and conduct, hostel accommodation and other details are given in the prospectuses for convenience of new entrants which can also be perused on the University’s website given above for Faisalabad Campus.
