Applications are invited on the
prescribed forms for admission to the following degree courses for the
academic session, 2007–2008 at the
University of
Agriculture,
Faisalabad,
College of
Agriculture,
D.G. Khan, Sub Campuses at Toba Tek Singh and Depalpur(Okara). The
qualifications required for these courses are indicated against each.
Applications complete in all respects must be submitted, either in person or
by registered post, to the Offices concerned on or before the last date
published in the National Press. No application shall be accepted after that
date even if dispatched by post. Moreover, incomplete applications are liable
to be rejected without any prior notice:–

(2) The candidates who are
domiciled in the Punjab and have passed the examination mentioned against each
course or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto from a recognized
institution securing at least 45% marks i.e. 495/1100 for courses at Sr. # 1-8
and for B.Sc. Agri. Engineering 50% marks i.e. 550/1100(excluding NCC and
Hafiz–e– Quran, if any) are eligible to apply for admission to these courses.
If an applicant is Hafiz – e – Quran, 20 marks will also be added to his marks
obtained in Intermediate examination to determine his admission merit as in
case of candidates having NCC certificate.
(3) The candidates possessing
Poly–technic Licentiate Diploma(3 years course) can apply for admission to
B.Sc. Agri. Engineering degree, only against the seats reserved for them under
'open merit' and 'Evening
College' categories. Similarly, the Diplome holder in Food
Technology can only apply against the researved seats in B.Sc. (Hons.) Food
Science and Technolgoy. They shall not be eligible to apply for admission
under any other category in the said course. Their marks will be converted to
a basic figure of 1100 (total marks for F.Sc.) and NCC and Hafiz – e – Quran
marks, if any, will be added later after conversion.
(4) The candidates must not be
more than 23 years of age as on
September 1st, 2007, which is relaxable by the competent authority in case
any candidate is selected provisionally.
(5) In the case of admission to
B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture at
Faisalabad, D.G. Khan and Depalpur Sub Campus, 75% seats reserved
for open and district wise merit will be filled by the candidates having rural
background, to be determined as per documentary proofs mentioned in the
admission form whereas the said percentage for admission to D.V.M. on open
merit is 50% for Rural and 50% for Urban candidates. They are required to
attach relevant documents in support to their claim with the admission
application forms after their provisional selection. For the convenience of
the candidates, admission forms of separate colours for urban/rural candidates
have been provided in the prospectus for these courses. The admission to
remaining courses will be made purely on merit basis without fixation of any
percentage for Rural and Urban candidates.
(6) The blank admission
application forms are available in the prospectus obtainable from the Habib
Bank Ltd., University Branch at
Faisalabad, on payment of the prescribed price. Those who are
desirous to seek admission at D.G. Khan, T. T. Singh and Depalpur Sub Campuses
may obtain prospectus from the office of the respective Principal/Coordinator.
(7) The candidates applying for
seats:-
reserved for 'disabled persons' should
obtain certificate on the prescribed form regarding the Assessment of
Disability issued by the District Assessment Board of their respective
District.
ii) researved for the “Children of
Overseas Pakistanies” should obtain a membership/registration card of their
father/guardian, issued by the Overseas Pakistanies Foundation, Government of
Pakistan.
The concerned candidate(s) will submit
the requisite certificate alongwith admission forms and tick the relevant
category of admission in the said form.
(8) The candidates(male/female)
seeking admission on the basis of excellence in sports are also required to
submit separate single form along with documentary evidence, if any, in
addition to ‘open merit’ form to the Directorate of Sports for Faisalabad
Campus and Principal/Officer Incharge/Coordinator concerned for Sub Campuses
up to the last date. This form is not included in the prospectus but will be
sold on demand through the Bank on cash payment. The trials for selection of
candidates will be held at
Faisalabad on the dates notified by the Directorate of Sports. The
detail of each event and date of trail may be had from his office.
(9) The prescribed Separate
applications forms for each of the above degree course along with one attested
passport size photograph, copy of Intermediate result card/certificate and
Computerized National Identity Card(CNIC) of candidate and father/guardian
must be submitted to the offices of the Deans/Directors/Principal/Officer
Incharge/ Coordinator concerned upto the date published in the National Press.
The name of the category in which a candidate seeks admission must be clearly
ticked in the admission form. No one will be allowed to add or change the name
of the category after submission of application. In case of the candidates
possessing equal marks and standing at the tail of the merit list, preference
for admission will be given to the older one.
(10) The candidates will not be
called for interview and the selection shall be made purely on merit basis.
The selected candidates shall not be informed about their selection. They
shall check their admission from the lists, which will be displayed by the
concerned Deans/Directors/Principal/ Officer Incharge/Coordinator on the
Notice Boards of the respective Faculty/Division/Institute/Sub Campus on the
date published in the National Press. For admission to Faisalabad Campus,
these lists can also be perused on University’s website after provisional
selection, the candidate will be required to submit educational documents the
detail of which is given on each admission form in the
Faculty/Division/College/Institute/Sub Campus, where he has been selected. If
a selected candidate fails to deposit University dues/submit requisite
documents within the stipulated period indicated in the admission notification
, his admission shall stand cancelled automatically without any prior notice
and he has no claim whatsoever. The admission of next candidate on waiting
list will be notified who will also not be informed about his selection but he
will have to check his name from the admission lists displayed on the Notice
Board.
Note: No hostel facilities are available at D.G. Khan, Toba
Tek Singh and Depalpur.
ENTRY TEST FOR ADMISSION TO B.SC. AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING
The entry test for all
admission categories/quota(s) of nominees of other Provinces including Azad
Kashmir/Northern Areas as well as Army seats will be held on the date notified
in the National Press with the weightage of 30 % marks for test and 70% based
on Intermediate/three years diploma marks.
The candidates desirous to
seek admission in the said degree are required to submit admission form on
open merit as well as entry test form(available in the prospectus) in the
concerned Dean office. A bank challan showing payment of Rs.500.00 as test fee
in Account No. 7324-7 in the National Bank of
Pakistan(University Branch) or through DD/Pay order in favour of
Treasurer payable at NBP/HBL University Branch should be attached with the
entry test form. After submission of said form, the entry pass/Roll No. slip
will be issued to the candidate by the concerned Faculty.
PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION TO 'EVENING
COLLEGE' PROGRAMME
Due to limited available resources most of the
talented students remain deprived of higher education. Moreover, to meet a
pressing demand from public sector and to accommodate candidates having high
marks, who could otherwise afford some additional fee, an
Evening
College in first degree courses except B.Sc. (Hons.) Agricultural
& Resource Economics, B.Sc.(Hons.) Poultry Science and B.Sc. (Hons.)
Agriculture(Depalpur Campus ) has been started. The terms and conditions and
procedure to apply for evening college is as under:–
(a) the seats under
Evening
College
will be opened to all the male/female citizens of
Pakistan.
(b) a separate form in pink
colour shall be available for evening college candidates and will be sold
separately on demand by the candidates in addition to price of the prospectus.
(c) the Punjab Domiciled
candidates seeking admission in
Evening
College should also apply against open merit seats of day
classes.
(d) the candidates will submit a
bank draft/pay order prepared by any scheduled Bank drawn in favour of
the Treasurer, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, payable at NBP/HBL
University Branch, amounting to Rs. 1,00,000/– (Rupees one lac only) as
entry fee and submit the same to the Office of the Treasurer for admission at
Faisalabad Campus and Office of the Principal concerned, respectively. After
depositing amount of entry fee copies of the receipt will be issued to the
candidate. They are required to attach one copy of receipt in original with
each admission form to be submitted in the office of the respective
Dean/Director/Principal. These drafts will be forwarded by the sub campus to
the Treasurer, immediately after the expiry of last date.
(e) the candidate shall have also
pay the normal dues being charged from other regular students in addition to
entry fee deposited at the time of submission of application.
(f) if the applicants are more
than the number of allocated seats, the admission will be made on merit(among
themselves) to be determined on the basis of marks obtained by the respective
applicants in their Intermediate examination. Female candidates will be
admitted on merit inter se against the seats specifically reserved for them.
(g) in case a candidate is not
selected on merit in the
Evening
College or not willing to join the course, the amount of entry
fee will be refunded. Such unsuccessful candidates shall have to submit an
application addressed to the Treasurer duly certified/recommended by all the
Deans/Director/Principal admitting students at undergraduate level under this
category indicating that the applicant applied for admission in the category
but could not be admitted on merit or not willing to join the course(as the
case may be) and the entry fee may be refunded to him.
(h) if the candidate, once
admitted in a degree programme as Evening College student, enrolls himself by
submitting "UG-I form" and deposits normal dues and subsequently leaves the
University under any circumstances/change admission category, the amount of
entry fee and other dues already deposited by him shall not be refunded in any
case. However, the entry fee will be refunded as specified under ‘g’ above
if:-
i. admission of any candidate is notified but he
neither deposits the dues nor completes the enrolment formalities within the
stipulated period.
ii. the candidate who has applied against day and
evening classes seats simultaneously but selected on day classes.
iii. the number of candidates in the evening
college in any course is too small to start the class.
(i) the minimum eligibility
conditions for the students of
Evening
College will remain the same as prescribed for admission to all
the first degree courses on open merit in day classes.
(j) if a candidate of Evening
College desirous to change his course after notification of his admission in a
degree course, may opt for another course once; provided he had already
submitted proper application form and falls on merit in that course.
(k) if a candidate who submitted
an application form as a day class student but could not be admitted on merit,
he can opt for seeking admission as Evening College student by submitting an
application to the respective Dean/Director/Principal, who after ensuring his
merit, availability of seat and obtaining bank draft of entry fee, shall
submit his case to the Vice Chancellor for approval through the Registrar
office. A certificate must be accompanied with the case from the
Dean/Director/Principal concerned that no candidate on waiting list of
Evening
College category has been ignored. However, such admission will
be recommended after completion of admission against all the categories.
(l) no student of day classes
will be allowed to shift to
Evening
College in any case and vice versa.
(m) in case, seats reserved in the
Evening
College remain vacant in a degree course, the same may be
transferred to any other degree course in the same category, if required, with
the permission of the competent authority.
(n) the
Evening
College
will start functioning at appropriate time as determined by the Dean/
Director/Principal concerned. The students of
Evening
College will enjoy all the auxiliary facilities such as medical,
accommodation(if available) etc. just like other students.
(o) the admission of
Evening College students will be notified after finalization of admission on
Open Merit seats.
