Scholarships/Fellowships/Financial Aids
In order to promote competition for the pursuit
of excellence among talented and deserving students of the
University a scholarship fund has been instituted on the basis of
grants obtainable from the Government, Semi Government and Private
agencies. With the help of this financial aid, efforts are made to
minimize the financial constraints to some extent faced by the
students. Besides, various Trusts, Foundations, Zila Councils,
organizations of repute, philanthropists, grant a considerable
number of scholarships to deserving students. A poor boys fund has
also been established to give financial aid to indigent students.
Resultantly, more than 25 per cent of the total students are
benefitted. Reasonable number of “UAF NEED BASED” scholarships are
available for the newly admitted students in B.Sc.(Hons.)
Agriculture and other degree programmes, respectively.
The number and value of scholarships are subject
to revision according to the availability of funds. A student can
hold only one scholarship/stipend at a time out of Government
revenue. Further, a student involved in any case of indiscipline and
misconduct is not eligible for any scholarship. All the
