University of Agriculture Faisalabad

UNIVERSITY MAGAZINE “Kisht-e-Nau”

The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad came into existence in 1961 and the College Magazine was renamed as “Kisht-e-Nau” and its first addition was published in 1965. Thereafter, its publication continued uptil 2005-2006. The following special numbers were published:

2003 Iqbal Number
2004-2005-Youth Number
2005-2006 Centennial Number

New Advisory and Editorial Board has been constituted for the year 2006-2007. In its fist meeting, the Board decided to publish “Excellence Number of Kisht-e-Nau” 2006-2007 which is in progress.

NEWS & EVENTS

Chief Editor “Kisht-e-Nau” Ijaz Rasool Noorka has invited students Articles for “Excellence Number 2006-07.”

The Articles should be in English, Urdu and Punjabi. Last date is 10 December 2006.

COLLEGE MAGAZINE

The first issue was published in October, 1933. Subsequently, the following special numbers were published:

1935, Fruit and Oilseed

1936 Cotton

1938 Crop Pests

1940 Insect Pest

Beside above, college magazine continued its publication in 1943, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1957, and 1958 respectively. In the issues of 1957, 1958 creative articles of the foreigners were highlighted. One Bengali poem of Mr. Nuzrul Islam was translated into English by a Pakistani Bengali Student C.K. Biswas.
