Despite of scorching heat, UAF Students have collected Rs. 0.2 million in one day from donation camp established at main gate jail road on Thursday May 21, 2009 in a wake of fund raising campaign being launched for IDPS. It is worth mentioning that UAF has launched a massive campaign to mitigate the sufferings of huge number of Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs) of Malakand, Buner, Swat and adjoining areas and already deposited one day salary (Rs. 0.9 million) of academic and administrative staff along with setting up donation camps at main campus by rovers scouts and at College of Agriculture DG Khan, sub campuses at Toba and Depalpur. The UAF students said that the Paksitani youth particularly the students community is equally perturbed over the plight of these internally displaced persons and firmly stand besides their fellow brethren in the need of the hour. Moreover, students of three Laboratory Schools of UAF and their parents are showing immense enthusiasm in fund raising campaign.
