Sub-Campus Depalpur - Overview

Given the importance of agriculture in the Pakistan's economy and the overwhelming population's dependence on it, agricultural education is very important for revolutionizing agriculture through production of new knowledge, innovative techniques and modern farming skills. The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad has always been striving very hard to achieve the objective of revolutionized agriculture by providing skilled and professional manpower for this sector. The newly established UAF sub-campus Depalpur, Okara is a recent example of the University's mission. Okara district is well known for agricultural production particularly for maize and potato crops and being. Being a progressive district, Okara needs precision agriculture to take the farming to next level. The sub-campus has a has a spacious building with a spectacular view of citrus gardens along the bank of Lower Bari Doab Canal (LBDC) and is situated at Okara-Lahore GT Road about 6 km towards Renala Khurd. The campus has 77 acres of land at this site and a research farm of about 153 acres at Rakh Bhulewal, Haveli Lakha, Tehsil Depalpur, Okara.
