Addressing the ceremony, Dr Amjad Saqib said that the book depicts the life of the underprivileged and oppressed segment of society. He said it is need of the hour to spread the message of Muwakhat as per golden principles of Islam to steer the people out from the clutches of the poverty. He said that everyone has to play his own role to serve the humanity. He said that out of total population of eight million people of Faisalabad, even one lakh people give sadqa of Rs 10 daily, it will help generate Rs 30 million monthly. He stressed upon the need to help those who want to do something but due to financial constraints, they can’t fulfill their dreams. He hoped that Faisalabad will become an ideal model of Muakhat. He said that Akhuwat (brotherhood) derives from the Islamic concept of ‘mawakhat’. Muwakhat is the result of the citizens of Medina sharing their wealth and establishing a bond of brotherhood with the migrants of Mecca fourteen hundreds years ago. He said that they see Akhuwat a pact between the privileged and the underprivileged, a duty of those who have resource towards those who do not. UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Ashraf said that we have to inculcate Islamic values in the people that will help the country to emerge an Ideal state. He said that there is a need to develop a culture in which poor will be given equal respect. He said that in our society, we see the oppressed segment people which are given the different insulting names by some groups and the point is also highlighted in this book. He said we have to eliminate such taboos from our society. Faisalabad renowned literary personalities Dr Riaz Majeed, Dr Ijaz Farooq, Engineer Abdul Sattar expressed their views about the book. Pervez Khalid and Muazzam Bin Zahoor form Akhuwat also spoke on the occasion.
