Chairing the session former Vice Chancellor University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences UVAS Muhammad Nawaz said that we cannot ignore the importance of nanomedicine in achieving healthcare goals. He said that nanotechnology is considered as an emerging technology due to creating new innovative products with completely new characteristics and functions with marvelous potential in healthcare. He said that nanomedicine includes a wide range of applications such as biosensors tissue engineering diagnostic devices and many others. He said that various scientific areas had got benefit from nanotechnology. He said that the country was facing severe challenges of poverty health and other issues. He urged the academia to develop leadership quality effective communication innovative ideas and others. He said that fast growing ICT tools has benefit of access for everyone and everywhere without the limitations of time and space. Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Dr Zafar Iqbal Qureshi said that nanomedicine was an emerging trend in the field of medicines nanoparticles have been well documented for their antagonistic activity against bacteria fungi and viruses and has given rise to new insights in antibiofilm research. Dr Faqir Muhammad said that the event is meant to sensitize the public about the nanomedicine. He said that the university is used to hold such events of public interests.
